The GENTLEYAG® Laser works by transmitting laser light through the skin to diminish the tiny blood vessels and spider veins being treated. As the laser light is absorbed, it is converted into heat, which is conducted to the surrounding walls of the vessels. If enough damage is done to the walls of these tiny veins, the circulatory system will not be able to repair it, and there will be complete disappearance. This occurs in 1-3 treatments in most cases. Often, spider veins on the cheeks and nose are cleared in just 1 treatment. If vessels are still visible in 4-6 weeks, a second treatment will be necessary.
